The Group Executive Committee administers the Group. This committee is made up of
the Group Chairman, The Group Treasurer, The Group Secretary, parent representatives,
other elected members, the Group Scout Leader and the Leaders of each section. There

The functions that the Executive Committee carries out are: ensuring that the Group has enough money to operate by arranging and running fund raising activities (delegated to the Fund Raising Committee); deciding how the Group’s money should be spent; maintenance of Group property and equipment; insurance of persons, property and equipment; Group public occasions; and assisting with the recruitment of Leaders and other adult support. Each committee usually meets three times per year (plus the AGM) and we hold on average 4 or 5 fund raising events per year.
Committee members do not need to be parents, anyone with an interest in the well being of the Group would be warmly welcomed.
